Mentors
Our mentors wear many hats at IMC - they act as cabin counselors, run the evening sports program, organize evening social events, & take turns patrolling the camp after Curfew. The mentors live in cabins with campers ranging in age from 11 - 16 yrs. old and also monitor older campers.
Mentors must be at least 18 yrs. old, responsible, and enthusiastic. Candidates should enjoy working with young people, exhibit strong inter-personal skills and be comfortable assuming leadership roles. Musical experience is not essential.
Teaching Assistants
We are very proud of the very high caliber of musical instruction offered at IMC Our Faculty members are excellent performers and dedicated educators. We also hire a number of Teaching Assistants to work with our Faculty members, assisting with Master classes, sectionals, and chamber ensemble rehearsals. Positions are available as assistants to Woodwind, Brass, Percussion, String, and Conducting Faculty members. Teaching Assistants may be asked to assist individual students or small groups to reinforce the concepts presented by Faculty members. Teaching Assistants may also be called upon to perform in chamber ensembles or to augment camp orchestra sections or band sections. Candidates must be at least 19 yrs. old and have strong musical background. Teaching experience is also recommended.
